The funny thing is, almost nobody is talking about chat control in France. Even on r/france (which leans left politically), the thread about it didn’t get much popularity. No mass media is talking about it, just a few pages mentioning child protection, that’s it. Same for both left and right leaning media. I went to a small hostel/pension in Spain that had no child policy. It was wonderful and really the layout would not be suited for children anyway.

It's a private business, hotels can ban pets, they should be able to ban children as well.

Im fine with banning childs from certain hotels, but it would be great to ban parties and company conferences from other hozels as well, so my 1.5 old doesnt wake up 4 times on our holiday a night due to the music and shouting. I have a funny story from Romania - here it's mandatory by law to let pregnant women (understandably so) and parents with kids under a certain age (5, I think? might be wrong) pass the queues in stores and anywhere else. Cue parents dragging their kids even at 11PM and crowding stores for a short while just to hang onto this advantage. Cue also on Christmas parents fighting each other at queues made by themselves only. 
The only not funny thing was seeing people with serious health issues or other problems needing to hurry up when an entitled parent showed up to cut them off in the queue.

First of all, this is stupid i am completly pro children i think its important, that children are present everywhere in society.
But forcing Hotels to accept children is uneccesarry, stupid and not every Shit is discriminaton. Children have very different needs from adults, so arguments about inequality are not valid towards children.


HOWEVER i know of so many stupid court rulings saying this kind of law is discriminaton against elderly people (mostly regarding online Services etc.), where its just because elderly people are too lazy to learn new stuff.

Sorry but we actually like not having children running around the halls, unsupervised.  If parents disciplined and took better care of their kids, this would not be an issue, but they don't.

Ça sécurise nos politiques par une mise à distance violente entre la population et eux, qui ne prennent pas leurs responsabilités et qui n’écoutent pas les organes de representations (opposition, syndicats, associations…).

La doctrine de l'escalade rassure la police (et la gendarmerie), et les violences qui résultent permettent de diminuer le nombre de manifestants, de faire peurs aux bourgeois / boomers / csp+ / la France des honnête gens de Retailleau, les commerçants etc. Et en retour de délégitimer les politiques défendus par les manifestants.

Ça aurait été bien de prendre la crise des gilets jaunes aussi comme exemple. Globalement, la violence a bien explosé à ce moment là, avec une volonté du gvt de faire taire la contestation plutôt que de dialoguer.

Gestion révélatrice de gens qui n’ont pas l’étoffe de responsables d’Etat mais une mentalité de chefaillon brutal. À la clé, des dégâts immenses avec un net recul de la qualité du dialogue social et des libertés individuelles.

Alors il y a clairement des choses a ameliorer dans la gestion des manifestations (et en plus general, de l'attitude generale de la police nationale envers ses clients - comparez toute interaction policiere entre RU et France et c'est accablant pour nous).

Mais il y aura toujours un element d'escalade et de violence, parceque en face on a des groupes dont l'objectif publiquement avoue est d'escalader afin d'avoir cette reponse. Vous vous souvenez du AMA tragi-comique du jeune gavroche "black block" (oui oui cest pas un groupe cest une tactique bla bla bla osef) qui nous expliquait qu'en escaladant la violence pour avoir une repression policiere ils nous montraient a quel point on vit dans une dictature faciste? vous voulez faire quoi avec des imbeciles de ce genre en face?

Ce qu'il faudrait arriver a faire c'est de separer les vrais manifestants des casseurs, mais c'est plus vite dit que fait vu que l'objectif des derniers est de justement impliquer les autres dans leur petite revolution.
